Ashley Wilburn, a native of Hagerstown, Maryland, proudly comes from North Hagerstown High School, where she completed her secondary education. Ashley Wilburn's legal practice is centered around family law. She has a passion for it. She focuses her practice on divorce cases, alimony issues marital property division and child custody battles as well as child support arrangements. She also handles post-divorce enforcement and post-divorce issues as well as step-parent adoptions, private adoptions at parties as well as concerns about child welfare. Ashley has served as a mediator appointed by the court since the year 2019, assisting parties in helping them resolve their disputes without the need for litigation and court involvement. Ashley mediates private disputes as well as court-appointed mediations for people who wish to avoid the court process and litigation.

Ashley completed her undergraduate studies in History and Politics at Loyola University of Maryland. She continued her legal education at Western New England University School of Law. Graduating in 2013, she excelled academically, ranking among the top 10 students in her class. Ashley was an editor at the Western New England Law Review during her time at law school. This proved her dedication to scholarship and legal research.

Ashley began her clerkship after completing her law degree. She worked for renowned jurists from Connecticut and Maryland. She had the privilege of being a law assistant for the Honorable Richard A. Robinson and the Honorable Elliott D. Prescott at the Connecticut Appellate Court. Subsequently, in 2014 she returned home to her hometown of Hagerstown to clerk for the Honorable M. Ashley joined Poole & Kane P.A. in 2015 as an associate attorney. as an associate attorney. The primary goal of the firm was to represent the Washington County Department of Social Services in matters involving child welfare. Through her dedicated efforts, Ashley played a vital role in helping children who had suffered abuse or neglect at the parent or caregivers. Her dedication to social justice went beyond the realm of law and she was active as a board member of the Washington County Human Trafficking Task Force, which worked hard to educate the public about human trafficking in the tri-state region.

In 2017, she became a founding member of Kane, Wilburn & Stone, P.A., where she developed her practice in the fields of family law such as divorce, child support, custody and guardianships as well in estate planning - wills, trusts and powers of attorney, advance directives/healthcare proxies - and mediation.

Ashley created Wilburn Law Office, LLC, 2023, with the commitment to provide an individual approach to each client's need.
